Entropy: Entropy is a concept that originated in the field of thermodynamics and has since found applications in various scientific disciplines. It was first introduced by Rudolf Clausius, a prominent German physicist in the 19th century. Clausius made significant contributions to the development of thermodynamics and played a crucial role in formulating the second law of thermodynamics. In heat engine theory, the term entropy plays a vital role and leads to important results which by other methods can be obtained much more laboriously.
